Participate in World Smile Day with Inslip

Americans have had a rough Fall this year. Between Hurricane Maria, Las Vegas Massacre and the death of the legendary Tom Petty, there hasn’t been much room for positive news.

That changes today, on World Smile Day. Get your cameras ready!

Whether it’s the stress from your boss, BAE didn’t remember your quarter birthday, or Tuesday night’s episode of This Is Us left such a cliffhanger that you just don’t know how you’ll last until next week, for just one second, forget about the things that are bringing you down, and take a smile selfie.

A selfie? Yes, an image of oneself taken by oneself. Many use it to take photos without having to ask someone else to photograph, and some use it as a tool to augment their reality; meaning, they take a selfie to make it look to their social circle like they are having a busy night when in fact, they are in their bed binge-watching Netflix.

There are 3 ways to take the perfect selfie, but only one is our favorite.

  1. You can hold the phone yourself and risk it dropping on the floor and cracking.
  2. Use a selfie stick that to be honest, looks a little funky.
  3. Grip on to an Inslip!

The Inslip isn’t as eye-catching (to the public) as a giant selfie stick and protects your phone from slipping out of your hands during the most important photo moment of your life. It’s the best of both worlds! Plus, it’s affordable and super sleek. It’s already on the back of your phone, so no packing in your bag or pocket necessary. Need help taking a selfie like a pro? We’ve got a blog post for that!

In a study at the University of Kansas by psychological scientists Tara Kraft and Sarah Pressman, smiling was found to alter stress by slowing down the heart rate and decreasing perceived levels of stress regardless of whether the person actually feels happy or not.

It might take 26 muscles to form your picture-perfect smile, but it will be worth it when you feel better emotionally and physically. Move those muscles and get grip with Inslip! Alright, maybe don’t flex your muscles TOO hard...
